Air France Economy Review (Prague to Paris CDG)
Flying economy on short haul flights is alright, if the plane is fairly empty. When it is busy then it gets really unpleasant, as it is impossible not to feel people are in your space and if the person in front puts their seat back then you can certainly not work with a laptop and you have the seat in your face.
British Airways are making noises about not having as business class on short haul flights of one or two hours, and I have to say having been on a 5 day hop from London – Prague – Paris CDG – Zurich – London, I have to say that the business cabin on all the airlines (BA, Air France and Swiss) were all very empty.
It is a while since I have been on or blogged about Air France, and so took these pictures and here are my thoughts.
I guess the most obvious thing is that economy is economy and as most airlines either fly Boeing or Airbus, then you get more or less the same space, seats and now dire snack (a cold roll and meat of some uncertain type!). The Air France flight from Prague was pleasant as was really quiet and so had 3 seats in a row to myself and so felt had a lot of space to spread out and work.
