Ajloun Castle. Another Reason to Visit Jordan
Looking for travel inspiration for your next vacation? Take a look at my series of reasons to visit Jordan. They will surprise, excite and make you want to go there. In this one: Ajloun Castle.
High on top of a hill with 360 degree views is the 12th Century Ajloun Castle fortress in Jordan. This ancient fort defended the area from attacks including the Crusades.
It is an impressive structure with a small museum full of artefacts from the long history of the castle. On top are glorious views across a very fertile part of Jordan
At the entrance was a friendly man brewing and selling tea and coffee out of gorgeous pots.
Based on my time in Jordan, there are ten things that I recommend you visit during the course of a one-week vacation. You can find out more on each by clicking on them to get more details, my thoughts and pictures:
- Ras El Ein Graffiti Amman.
