What are the biggest cruise lines in the world, based on passengers carried? Get ready for surprises!
At number 10 is Disney Cruise Line. The 150 year old Holland America is next biggest. Celebrity Cruises is at number eight. Carnival-owned AIDA, the European line for German speakers is the seventh biggest, while their Italian line, Costa is sixth.
The fifth biggest line is Princess, with a large fleet and especially big in Alaska. Norwegian cruise line, known for relaxed easy-going cruising, is fourth biggest.
The fast-growing European MSC Cruises is already the third biggest line. Royal Caribbean, with their massive resort-like ships are second biggest. That makes Carnival and their fun ships the biggest cruise line in the world.
