Dog Sledding Alaska. See Why It Is One Of My All-time Best Travel Experiences!
Dog Sledding Alaska. It could be one of the best travel experiences you will ever have. As I discovered when I went dog sledding on the Norris Glacier above Juneau Alaska. It was one of the highlights of my Holland America Line Inside Passage cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Flying by helicopter over glaciers in the Juneau Ice Field was incredible, as was landing at a camp with over 150 dogs. I can highly recommend this experience if you ever on an Alaska cruise.
This is what you will see and do!

Now the bad news.
The excursion costs over $640 per person. But it was, for me anyway, worth this unique experience and I will cherish it as one of my best travel moments ever

Note: I travelled as a guest of Holland America on their 7-night Alaska Inside Passage cruise on the Niuew Amsterdam. I paid for this excursion myself and was not covered by the cruise line.
