London Heathrow Terminal 5. 10 Images That Capture The Travel Experience
Airports are exciting and stressing. They get my heart racing and sinking. The security screening and lack of any system that makes it a consistently efficient process is the aspect of airports that frustrate me more than any other. They are essential, but there must be a way to make them work better. It is this part of airports that I see as the biggest hurdle to having a better travel experience. There must be a way to make them less clumsy and more seamless.
As soon as I get past that barrier I feel that I have entered the world of escape. Even if it is for a work trip, there is a feeling of buzz and discovery that sweeps over me as soon as I get past security. I have been through airports thousands of times, and yet they still thrill me.
On a recent trip through London Heathrow Terminal 5 on a trip to Berlin, I took a series of pictures that captured the things that I think about and are part of the experience. Below are the photos and why I took those photos. What do you think about airports and the experience? What else would you have taken pictures of?
