Working Animals at Petra. Another Reason to visit Jordan.
Looking for travel inspiration for your next vacation? Take a look at my series of reasons to visit Jordan. They will surprise, excite and make you want to go there. In this one: the working animals of Petra.
Camels, donkeys and horses are all working animals at Petra in Jordan. You can ride down to the gorgeous Treasury building on a horse or in a horse-drawn carriage, explore on to and beyond the Roman Amphitheatre on a camel or climb up the steep steps to the must-see Monastery on a donkey.
All are adorned in exotic colours and fabrics and add to the Arabian feel of the magnificent Petra. These are a few of the images of some of the animals that caught my attention there.
Based on my time in Jordan, there are ten things that I recommend you visit during the course of a one-week vacation. You can find out more on each by clicking on them to get more details, my thoughts and pictures:
- Ras El Ein Graffiti Amman.
- Roman Amphitheatre Amman.
